Wassily Kandinsky

Γεννημένος στη Ρωσία το 1866, αντλεί στοιχεία από τη ρωσική παράδοση, καταγράφει τις εντυπώσεις του από τα ταξίδια της εφηβείας όπου πρωτοσχηματίζεται η αντίληψη "του ήχου των χρωμάτων" και εδραιώνει τις βάσεις για τη μετέπειτα πορεία του. Μια έκθεση ιμπρεσιονιστών στη Μόσχα το 1895 θα αφυπνίσει τη φύση του καλλιτέχνη και έτσι σε ηλικία 30 χρονών θα ξεκινήσει σπουδές ζωγραφικής στη Βασιλική Ακαδημία του Μονάχου. Έγινε διάσημος για τα πρώτα του ανεικονικά έργα, τα οποία άνοιξαν μια πολύ σημαντική δεκαετία για την αφηρημένη τέχνη (1910-1920). Στα έργα αυτής της περιόδου ο Kandinsky χρησιμοποιεί ένα νέο είδος συντακτικής γλώσσας με έντονα και εκφραστικά χρώματα, απλωμένα σε επιφάνεια σε ασαφή, χαλαρά και ελεύθερα σχήματα. Το 1919 ο Walter Gropius θα ιδρύσει τη σχολή Bauhaus στη Βαϊμάρη και το 1922 θα τον καλέσει να διδάξει εκεί μαζί με άλλα μεγάλα ονόματα της Τέχνης, αλλά το 1933, κάτω από πίεση του ναζισμού στη Γερμανία, το Bauhaus διαλύεται. Οι Γερμανοί καταστρέφουν έργα πρωτοπόρων ζωγράφων, μεταξύ των οποίων και 57 έργα του Kandinsky. Το 1939 θα αποκτήσει τη γαλλική ιθαγένεια, αλλά πέντε χρόνια αργότερα, στις 13 Δεκεμβρίου 1944, ο μεγάλος δάσκαλος του Bauhaus πεθαίνει.

Why we are proud for being Greek!!!

Με όλα αυτά που βλέπουμε και ακούμε, σίγουρα υπάρχουν αρκετοί λόγοι που μας κάνουν να μη νιώθουμε και τόσο υπερήφανοι που είμαστε Έλληνες, αλλά παρ' όλα αυτά υπάρχουν και αρκετοί λόγοι που μας κάνουν νιώθουμε υπερήφανοι, κάποιους από αυτούς τους λόγους παραθέτω παρακάτω που τους ανακάλυψα σε ένα παλιό e-mail, τα αρνητικά και τα πράγματα που μας κάνουν να νιώθουμε ντροπή τα αφήνω στη σατιρική διάθεση του κυρίου Λαζόπουλου!

• Because we spend our bad and low times with our friends and family, not with shrinks
• Because Socrates, Plato and Aristotle were Greek
• Because we invented theatre
• Because we gave birth to Democracy
• Because we discovered logic
• Because we jumpstarted science
• Because we are proud of our culture, not of our wars

• Because we gave the light to all these leaders who are "striving" for peace by making wars
• Because we have a distinction between Eros (falling in love) Agapi(innocent love), while we feel both passionately
• Because Eros was a Greek God
• Because when others used to be clothed with wolf skin we were weaving see-through linen
• Because "Greeks" do not fight as heroes, heroes fight like "Greeks" (Winston Churchill, 1941)
• Because we don't use ketchup with our food - it tastes good anyway
• Because we gave our ancient alphabet to the Romans and our Medieval alphabet to the Slavs
• Because we get angry quickly but we forget all about it even quicker
• Because we are not ashamed to cry
• Because we dance when we are sad
• Because we work to live and we do not live to work
• Because 97% of the stars' names are Greek
• Because although we know danger well, we dare
• Because when you shout "brother" in the streets everyone turns around
• Because we always talk about getting in a diet after we had our meal
• Because we speak loudly and laugh even louder
• Because we do not know what anxiety is
• Because we walk in the streets at 2:00 in the morning and there are traffic jams

• Because girls are not scared to walk alone in the streets at 2:00 or 4:00 o'clock in the morning
• Because we are direct
• Because we never report people who cheat
• Because we always have a solution to problems, even if usually indirect or illegal
• Because we have tendencies to extremity
• Because our parents do not forget that we exist when we reach 18
• Because when we want to sunbathe, we go to the beach, we don't crawl on grass or jump into fountains
• Because we confront every difficulty with humor
• Because the Olympic games were born here
• Because with our (Olympic) light, we unite the world and pass the message of peace

Όταν τα ανοίξω προσπαθώ
να τα πραγματοποιήσω..

πάντα, αλλά συνεχίζω...

Δεν ξέρω τι μου συμβαίνει... νιώθω πως εγκλωβίζομαι σε συναισθήματα, που πολύ φοβάμαι δεν θα με βγάλουν πουθενά...

Cyrano de Bergerac

Δεν έχει πολύ καιρό που παρακολούθησα στο κρατικό θέατρο την παράσταση "Συρανό ντε Μπερζεράκ" του Εδμόνδου Ροστάν και επειδή με εντυπωσίασε, και λόγω των ηθοποιών αλλά κυρίως του μηνύματος που θέλει να περάσει, παρακάτω μεταφέρω τι γράφει για το έργο το πρόγραμμα του κ.θ.β.ε.

Μέσα στο κλίμα του νεορομαντισμού και με αφορμή την αλλόκοτη προσωπικότητα ενός ποιητή ξιφομάχου και φυσιογνώστη, του Συρανό ντε Μπερζεράκ, που έζησε τον 17ο αιώνα, ο Ροστάν παρουσίασε το 1897 με μεγάλη επιτυχία την ομώνυμη, έμμετρη δραματική κωμωδία του.

Το έργο γραμμένο με δεξιοτεχνική εκζήτηση και λυρική ευρηματικότητα, ξεπερνά τις νεορομαντικές του προθέσεις και εγγράφεται στο παγκόσμιο δραματολόγιο ως διαχρονικό αριστούργημα, χάρη στο κεντρικό πρόσωπο του Συρανό, που εκφράζει το μοναχικό δράμα κάθε ιδιαιτερότητας στη σπαραχτική αναμέτρηση της με την πραγματικότητα και την κοινωνία. Ο Συρανό, δύσμορφος και ονειροπαρμένος, αλλά με επίγνωση της τραγικής θέσης του, αναδεικνύεται σε ήρωα που αυτοθυσιάζεται στο όνομα της αυθεντικότητας και της ανθρωπιάς

Εγώ θα έλεγα απλά, με μια μόνο φράση πως το έργο είναι ένας ύμνος στην ομορφιά της ψυχής.
